Referring Providers

Neuropsychological assessment can provide you and your patients with useful information across a number of dimensions.  In particular:

  1. It can help disentangle affective issues from cognitive ones and measure their relative contributions to complex clinical presentations, for instance when individuals present with attentional complaints.  This makes treatment more precise, reducing trial and error.
  2. It can measure the cognitive effects of medications to gauge positive and negative outcomes.
  3. It can help measure functional status after illness or injury and guide recovery and rehabilitation.
  4. It is the gold-standard in distinguishing the cognitive changes associated with aging and the diagnosis of dementias.

We will work with you to support your care of your patients and facilitate their treatment.  Please feel free to call at any time with questions.
